Were released data built in 2013 in China : The good news is that the second largest market in the world has grown even more, the bad news ( for Hollywood but also for other countries ) is that the market share for foreign films were reduced .
The total collections were up 27% compared to 2012 , from $ 2.8 billion to 3.57 billion dollars ( although the forecast talked of 3.64 billion U.S. dollars) . U.S. stocks , as we said , have not yet been developed equally well : the ten grossing films of the year , seven are in fact Chinese . According to the report , delay in distributing films like Fast & Furious 6 and Skyfall piracy has had an impact on receipts for such securities.
The highest grosser of the year was Journey to the West: Conquering the Demons , the film by Stephen Chow that he has collected $ 205 million ( surpassing the one billion yuan – $ 160 million – in just two weeks). Second place for Iron Man 3 , which raised $ 124 million , while the third place we find So Young Vicki Zhao (117 million).
The other Hollywood films in the top ten are Pacific Rim ( 114.7 million dollars) in fourth place and Gravity ( 72.7 million dollars) in tenth place .
