POMPEI IN CHINA, IN CHENGDU WITH THE EXHIBITION OF THE ARCHAEOLOGICAL MUSEUM OF NAPLES

The “Pompeii – The Infinite Life” exhibition was launched at the Jinsha Museum in Chengdu on February 8th. The opening ceremony was attended by the State Secretary of MiBACT Dorina Bianchi, who then made an official visit to the Province. The exhibition will be open until 2 May 2018.

The Naples National Archaeological Museum takes Pompeii to China, from 8 February and for over a year, with five traveling exhibitions and 120 works and precious finds. With statues, frescoes and furnishings from the immense deposits of Mann (which make it the world’s largest lender in this field), he arrives at the Jinsha Archeology Museum in Chengdu, also the ‘calidarium’ of the Villa della Pisanella in Boscoreale, one of the spa Roman citizens more complete and better preserved. The famous ‘balneum’, an extraordinary hydraulic work of antiquity, was dismantled in 14 cases. On his return in 2019 he will be part of the historic Mann ‘technological section’ which will be reopened.
‘Pompeii, the infinite life 2018’, in the year of Europe-China tourism, is a project commissioned by ChinaMuseum Ltd in Beijing with the collaboration of the Directorate General of Mibact Museums.
