BOTTEGA VENETA, PHOTO EXHIBITION ON CHINA

Bottega Veneta and photography , a pairing that is renewed .

La Maison Vicenza , part of the French luxury giant PPR , as well as having promoted the second edition of the New Exposure photo contest , has opened on 15 August an exhibition focusing on the dramatic evolution of the landscape of modern China.

The exceptional location that houses the Yifeng suggestive shots is a boutique gallery in Shanghai, the unique selling point of the brand has created an art gallery to house the works of emerging artists and photographers .

The exhibition, entitled ” Critical Landscapes” and open until the end of October, is the latest in a series of thematic exhibitions through which Bottega Veneta encourages new talent, cutting-edge supports cultural projects and offers customers a unique experience usually impossible to find in traditional areas dedicated to luxury shopping .

6 Critical Landscapes brings together works by Chinese artists and photographers , including Bo Shang , an artist based in Beijing , where pictures of the ghost town of Ordos in Inner Mongolia transmit feelings of great impact, Huo Yan , who explored how the inhabitants of Guilin have systematically destroyed the natural limestone formations of the area, famous all over the world, Hong Lei , whose prints are a tribute to classical Chinese paintings and a lament for the death of mountains and rivers , which often represent the main subject.

Other artists featured are Chang He, who lives and works in Shanghai and whose research focuses on the tensions between man and nature , Liu Lihong , who likewise portrays the relationship between humankind and the land, devoid of any sense of harmony or romance , and Zeng Han , employing a style meticulously realistic to portray the often unpleasant face of modernity.
