SHEN WEI HAS PERFORMED AT THE SAN CARLO “CARMINA BURANA” BY ORFF. REPLICATES IN ST. PETERSBURG

Tomorrow he premiered at the Teatro di San Carlo the eagerly awaited new production of “Carmina Burana” signed by Shen Wei. Lyrical Commission in Naples, the new production comes as a show of “total art”, in the style of the Chinese adoption New York choreographer who, as usual, took care of choreography, Visual design, sets and costumes. For the first time, inside the opera by Carl Orff, carried four excerpts from “Cantiones Profanae”, orchestrated on medieval melodies by Jordi Bernàcer. On the podium of the House there will be Spanish Director, for a show which involves artistic forces of “maximum” Neapolitan: the Orchestra, the chorus directed by Salvatore Caputo, the children’s choir directed by Stefania Rinaldi and the Corps de ballet directed by Alessandra Panzavolta, with thirty-two dancers of the lyrical and seven of Shen Wei Dance Arts. The vocal soloists are soprano Angela Nisi, the tenor Valdis Jansons and the baritone Ilham Nazarov. “Carmina Burana” will be held at the San Carlo until 26 July. From 23 to 28 September, the show will be on tour at the maryinsky Theatre in St. Petersburg.
