TENNIS SHARAPOVA WINS IN CHINA. BEAT THE Kvitova in three sets
Russian Maria Sharapova won the 33 / or career title, the fourth in 2014, beating in the final in Beijing, 6-4 2-6 6-3, the Czech Petra Kvitova. Sharapova then adds Beijing to its budget of seasonal successes (Stuttgart, Madrid and Roland Garros), while Kvitova remains at three titles (Wimbledon, New Haven and Wuhan). In 2011 Petra Masha had defeated in the final at Wimbledon, but the Russian has prevailed in the last four games. The total budget is 6-2 in favor of Sharapova, who tomorrow, in virtue of the victory in the China Open, will rise to No. 2 in the new WTA rankings.
