A RESTAURANT IN CHINA HAS REPLACED THE WAITERS WITH ROBOT
A restaurant in Zhejiang province, China, has seen its turnover increase greatly after he had the idea to replace the waiters with some robots. Initially the aim of the owner of the restaurant, the 48 year old Lu Dike, was to replace workers with robots in order to save on salaries, each robot was purchased for $ 9,400 guaranteed for five years. These robots are able to interact directly with customers and bring deliveries at the tables in minutes. Each robot has in fact a range of eight hours each night and are reloaded and then get back to work the next day. Besides saving on employees, the owner of the restaurant has also seen a large increase in visitors and tourists who, intrigued by these new robots, have led to an increase in earnings.
