ELENA FERRANTE IN ISCHIA: THE GENIAL FRIEND, PRODUCTION RAI AND HBO / IL VIDEO

They are eight episodes, duration 50 minutes, director Saverio Costanzo. The title of the Rai-Hbo co-production should be “the brilliant friend” in Italy, “the Neapolitan Novels” in the USA. The troupe is at work this end of May, beginning of June, in the village of Ischia Ponte, brought back in time, to the 50s, from the Italian / American production under the admiring eyes of tourists and islanders. In the images that we show you in the service we publish you will admire the delightful village of Ischia Ponte dominated by the Aragonese Castle under a new look. The whole area where one of the episodes will be shot is the result of a film reduction of the best seller by the writer Elena Ferrante. Everything has been reconstructed in the smallest details so that the spectators can recognize the landscape, architecture, design and even people, customs and traditions of the early Fifties in an Italy that was torn apart by the Second World War and was starting to reconstruct the country’s clamps and material.
