CHINA SURPASS THE UNITED STATES, THE FIRST IN THE WORLD ECONOMIC STRENGTH
Now it’s official. China overtakes the United States, becoming the world’s largest economy. The confirmation comes from the International Monetary Fund, according to which in 2014 the GDP “real” China this year will amount to 17.6 trillion dollars against 17.4 trillion in the United States.
In practice, the Asian giant now has his hands on 16.5% of the global economy against 16.3% which is headed to the United States. The ranking takes into account the gross domestic product at purchasing power parity (a method to adjust the different levels of cost of living).
When you consider the exchange rate, the US economy remains larger than that of China, presumably by almost 70%. But such measures, although they are widely followed, have little meaning, note analysts MarketWatch.
But there are many other surprises in the top ten of this ranking. India jumped to third place surpassing Japan and Germany. Russia and Brazil, now the sixth and seventh, exceeding France. Indonesia won the ninth place, bypassing the England that is relegated to the rear. Italy therefore remains outside the top ten.
