THE LAMBRETTE LAND ON THE ISLAND FOR ISCHIA ISLAND EXPERIENCE

The “Fenomeno Lambretta” lands in Ischia. Ischia Island Experience XVI Lambretta Regional Meeting is scheduled from June 22nd to 24th. The Lambretta, the famous scooter from the late ’40s was born as an alternative to the equally mythical Vespa, who wrote a piece of history of motor racing world. During the meeting the Lambrettas will show off their typical noise and the fantastic colors of the past.
In 2003, thanks to the initiative of some irreducible friends of Lambretta, the scooter that, since 1947, helped to power Italian families, was born what at the time was called “Old Lambretta Club Campania”, heir and jealous guardian Lambretta Club Napoli, very active in the 60s, architect and organizer of rallies that saw parading, in the beautiful setting of the waterfront of Naples and the Mostra d’Oltremare, hundreds of lambrettas. The Club has always had, as its sole purpose, those well described in the Constitution, that is to spread, even among the young, the image of a winning, industrious Italy, which over the years has imposed the “made in Italy” as a distinctive brand of national pride and to make known and enhance every corner of our fantastic region, especially those less known, those a bit ‘outside the usual sightseeing. With this in mind, the Club has organized events that have been attended by more and more lovers and owners of the Lambretta scooter. The visits to the island of Capri and Procida, to the sulfatara of Pozzuoli, to the historical vestiges of the Phlegraean Fields, constituted exciting moments in the life of the Club. But the Club’s activities were not limited to visits to archaeological or artistic sites. They wanted to give prestige also to the excellence that our Region boasts in every field. The visit to the pasta factory in Gragnano, the visit to the major decumani, bring the Lambretta even in little known areas, are all activities that have always seen the Club in the front row. But the Club, even in the cyclone of the many activities carried out, has been able to evolve and improve: recently it has left its old name to assume, in accordance with its affiliation with the Italian Motorcycling Federation (the famous and well-known IMF), the name ” Moto Club Old Lambretta Campania “. A sign of renewal and evolution, of course, but also a sign that the Club sets itself objectives of the highest profile.
